Wow, that was an amazing episode.
I loved Casey's wife. While she only appeared for a minute, you immediately get that she knows her husband so well and that she knows exactly what she has to tell him so he can die peacefully. Together with the music, it made for, in my opinion, the most touching scene of the episode.
Meredith and Amelia is shaping up for some pretty good drama. I understand Amelia. She and Owen have been there for each other in difficult times and she wants to be there for him now too, but no one lets her. I think going around asking everyone who might know is the wrong way to try and do that, but I get her motives. I hope Richard can interfere before her sobriety gets broken beyond repair, because her going down the dark path again is something I'm not waiting for, having seen and enjoyed that Private Practice already. Although, maybe her new environment can create a new sort of darkness. I love how Meredith is shaping up to be so protective of Owen, but I don't understand why Meredith is so mean to Amelia. The way she looked at Amelia when she shut the door of John's room was almost literally "Hah! I get to hear what's going on and I get to shut you out". We've seen Meredith can genuinely care about almost everyone, so if she'd be sorry for Amelia, she could have mouthed "sorry" or something. I don't know.
