I started watching Grey's Anatomy from the beginning recently and I've just reached part 2 of the Code Black episode. I've known that Izzie is supposed to be from Chehalis Washington from word of mouth for quite some time, and now that I'm this far in the series for myself, I now know more of her story. So my question is this. Where did Shonda Rhimes get her information about Lewis County Washington, more specifically "Chehalis Washington" I probably should have lead with this, but I'm from Centralia Washington (Born and raised) Centralia & Chehalis are "Twin Cities" and I know Lewis County like the back of my hand. I know Highway 6 and surrounding areas very well, yet I have no idea where Forest Park is located. Or if it's a Fictional Location. I feel dumb if it's a real place and never heard of it. So back to my question. Did Shonda Rhimes make this location up or is it a real place? I've tried to google map it but I just can't find anything remotely close to a trailer park off Highway 6.
While I'm here, did anyone else notice when Grey's Anatomy first started in 2005 that it showed the Kingdome in the fly over views? It was imploded March 26 2000. About 7 episodes in and on the 8th episode it showed Centurylink Field which was Qwest at that time in 2005 and Seahawks Stadium to begin with, before all the vultures bought advertising rights, and Safeco Field. So that also doesn't make sense to me. Anyways Grey's Anatomy is a great show. Sorry for ranting a bit ago lol. Thanks for reading! #GoHawks
