Surgery

Surgery are a set of specialties that uses operative manual and instrumental techniques on a patient to investigate and/or treat a pathological condition such as disease or injury, to help improve bodily function or appearance, or sometimes for some other reason. An act of performing surgery may be called a surgical procedure, operation, or simply surgery.

Depending on state and country, surgical specialities may be defined and trained in using different methods. This list is meant to cover most surgical specialities broadly and is not a definitive list and does not include sub-specialties.
