Stanley Singer was a football coach and father of Adam Singer.
Stanley brought his son to Seattle Grace after his son was hurt playing football. He was charging a receiver after kick-off but got blocked and his head held down. As a result, he couldn't see another guy coming and was hit. Stanley insisted that his son could have gotten past it.
When Cristina Yang applied weights to realign Adam's spine, Stanley tried to encourage his son by yelling that he could take the pain and that if he didn't take the pain he would be paralyzed. Adam became stressed and yelled at his father to get out.
After a successful surgery, Cristina Yang saw Stanley stroke Adam's hair apologetically.
Stanley had one son, Adam Singer. Because he was also his son's coach, he often pushed him too hard.
Stanley worked as a football coach.
