Mark Tinker was born in Stamford, Connecticut to former NBC chairman and CEO Grant Tinker. He is the brother of television writer and producer John Tinker. He graduated from Syracuse University and is currently married to actress Chandra West.
Career
Edit
Tinker is known for directing and producing NYPD Blue. He later served as a regular director and executive producer of Deadwood. He has also directed episodes of Grey's Anatomy, St. Elsewhere, Private Practice and L.A. Law. His last job was directing the pilot of John from Cincinnati and serving as the executive producer of the previously mentioned mini series.
