Marion is a patient who was depressed after the loss of a boyfriend.

History[]

Marion was in assisted living. Naomi did a house call to check on her. Marion was diabetic, so Naomi checked her sugar and found that it was very high, so she asked if she'd been taking her insulin. Naomi suggested that she start seeing a therapist. However, Gabriel instead suggested brain surgery to cure the depression. Marion rejected both options.

Naomi went back to the practice and asked Sheldon to go see Marion. He came to see her, but she was disinterested in talking to him. Sheldon asked around her community and found that she'd lost a friend named Walter to a heart attack a few weeks prior. Sheldon said he recommended talk therapy.

Gabriel went to visit Marion by himself. He said that they believed it was grief due to the loss of Walter, but he noticed that she thrived after the loss of her husband. She said Walter was her friend. They used to play Scrabble together. She couldn't ever tell him she loved him because she felt like she was betraying Jerome. They'd argued over it a week before he died. Gabriel said that there's no way Walter didn't know she loved him.
