History[]
Lily and the rest of her family came to the hospital when her mother, June, was finally receiving a liver transplant after three years on the waiting list. When June was presented with the chance to decline the liver that had been allocated to her in order to save the life of a patient whose liver failure was more immediately life-threatening, the whole family was shocked when she said no. The transplant went forward as planned and June's family was told it went well.
