Julia is the ex-girlfriend of Ricky.
History[]
Julia came into the hospital when her boyfriend, Ricky, was there to have a lung transplant due to cystic fibrosis. Shortly before his surgery, the doctors figured out that Julia also had cystic fibrosis, meaning that them being together put both of them at risk. Teddy refused to do the transplant until they agreed to break up. They did, but Lexie found Julia waiting outside the hospital for Ricky. She convinced Julia that there was nothing romantic about a slow joint suicide and Julia left for real.

Julia was seeing Ricky, who also had cystic fibrosis. Teddy forced them to break up in order for Ricky to get his lungs. They said they did, but secretly planned to stay together until Lexie talked to Julia and told her there was nothing romantic about joint suicide.
