Brian Benben played Sheldon Wallace in seasons two through six of Private Practice.


Brian Benben was born in Winchester, Virginia on 1956. He currently lives in Texas with his wife Madeleine Stowe, whom he married in 1982. They have two kids.


He decided on his acting career when he was very young, and landed his first role at the age of 17 in New York. He is perhaps better known for his roles on Dream On. Back in September 1998, he created, produced and starred on a show called The Brian Benben Show, but it was canceled after five episodes. He currently appears as Sheldon Wallace on the Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice as a Psychiatrist.
