Audra McDonald played Naomi Bennett from season one to season four of Private Practice. She reprised her role in the series finale, In Which We Say Goodbye. She also appeared in the season five Grey's Anatomy episode Before and After

Biography[]

Audra was born in Germany.[1] She graduated from the Juilliard School for the Performing Arts in 1993.[2] Her first husband Peter Donovan also graduated from Juilliard, where they met.[3] Audra has won six Tony Awards in 11 years, making her the recipient of more Tony's than anyone else.[4] In 2009, she won Grammys in the Best Classical Album category and the Best Opera Recording category for her work in Weill: Rise And Fall Of The City Of Mahagonny.[5]
