Andrew Carmichael was a patient at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital.
History
Andrew was in the hospital due to adhesions that formed after a prior surgery. Due to his status as a high-risk patient, they developed a new plan, which involved placing adhesion barriers to keep new adhesions from forming. When he was advised that not having the surgery would kill him, he agreed to it.
